Mission Statement

The Douglas County Criminal Justice System Management Council is a forum for system coordination, communication and development of system goals, policies and procedures.

The Council recognizes the importance of ongoing interaction between agencies operation under the jurisdiction of city, county and state governments, since the effectiveness of each agency is often dependent on the efficiency and responsiveness of another.

The Council's continuing purpose is to improve the administration of justice for the City of Omaha and Douglas County. 

Origin

The Criminal Justice System Management Council was established in 1998 and developed with guidance from the National Institute of Corrections' Guidelines for Developing a Criminal Justice Coordinating Committee.
