The Council recognizes the importance of ongoing interaction between agencies operation under the jurisdiction of city, county and state governments, since the effectiveness of each agency is often dependent on the efficiency and responsiveness of another.

The Council's continuing purpose is to improve the administration of justice for the City of Omaha and Douglas County.
